Join us and move from paycheck to purpose.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)Primary Responsibilities:

Provides detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems, applying principles of cost accounting.

Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Plans, studies, and gathers data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.

Provides accurate cost of goods sold at the product and product family level.

Analyzes data obtained, documents results, and helps leaders and team members make informed decisions.

Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, warranties, or field services provided to determine effects on costs.

Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

Analyzes construction-in-progress projects from planning and preparation stages through post implementation.

Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.

Works collaboratively with other members of the finance team, the operations team, the product management team, and others as needed.

Responsible for oversight of manufacturing finance and cost accounting functions.

Work with Vice President of Operations and staff to manage all financial aspects of manufacturing, while improving margins and profitability.

Duties include, annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting, variance analysis, tracking product margins, expense controls and variance analysis, controlling and monitoring inventory levels, review, and evaluation of engineering changes.

Ensure adequate internal manufacturing controls through cycle counts, annual physical inventory, audit of costed bills of materials, compliance with delegation of authority and other methods as required.

In addition, individual will play key role in managing manufacturing cost reductions, key contract negotiations and monthly management reporting.

Individual must assume responsibility for the integrity of the financial statements and ensure adequacy of reserves.

Monthly presentations of results to senior management.

Coordination of internal and external audit review and compliance.

Complete special projects, audits and ad hoc analyses as required.

Perform other duties as needed.Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Related accreditations are a plus.Other Useful Skills and Abilities
