We are looking for someone who is highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. This position is responsible for the structural design of residential & commercial modular structures (wood/cold formed metal) and helping to develop design standards for all future buildings. You will be expected to solve design problems that have not been asked or solved before. You will work in the pre-design phase all the way through the production of the modules. The experience will be challenging, yet rewarding as you shape the future of design and construction.Responsibilities to include:
Structural analysis and design of modular structures in both wood or cold formed metal.
Connection design
Creating design spreadsheets
Structural code review
Drafting structural plans and details
Communicating with design teams
Communication with clients
Candidate Requirements:
BS in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with structural concentration
2 to 5 years of structural engineering design and analysis of wood and cold formed metal. structures
Professional Engineer license a plus, with the ability to gain licensure in PA and or additional jurisdictions
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel
Proficiency in a structural analysis program: RISA-3D, StrucCalc, SteelSmart Systems, and/or similar programs
Precise written and verbal communication skills
