Job DescriptionThe Predictive Maintenance Specialist Intern is responsible for supporting the implementation of predictive maintenance strategies and online predictive technologies across our production facilities. This role is a key contributor to a project aimed at reducing maintenance costs and improving equipment reliability through advanced analytics and monitoring technologies.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the deployment and integration of online predictive maintenance tools, focusing on real-time condition monitoring systems such as vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.
Work closely with the maintenance team to collect, analyze, and interpret machine data to forecast potential failures and recommend preventive measures.
Support the establishment and optimization of online predictive technologies to ensure continuous monitoring and instant data accessibility.
Help develop training materials and standard operating procedures for the operation and maintenance of predictive maintenance systems.
Contribute to achieving significant savings through the project by reducing unplanned downtime and extending equipment lifespans.
Document and report on project progress, including challenges, successes, and lessons learned.
Facilitate knowledge sharing between the company and university, participating in relevant discussions and academic presentations to enhance both project outcomes and educational value.
Required Experience:
Strong foundation in data analytics and familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated project management capabilities with an ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
Desired ExperiencePrior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, particularly involving predictive maintenance or equipment monitoring.
Experience in setting up or managing online monitoring systems in an industrial environment.
Experience with CMMS and predictive maintenance software.
