What You Will Do:

We provide innovative solutions for foundations, earth structures, groundwater resources, dams, underground construction and building sites. Our geotechnical engineers and geologists specialize in building and transportation infrastructure design, landslides, sinkholes, mine subsidence, slope stability and seepage. Over the last 100+ years, we have completed more than 1,000 geotechnical projects and supported thousands of other projects across the U.S. - from small-scale projects to large, complex highways, bridges, landslide repairs and dams.
Our Camp Hill, PA office is looking for an Associate Geotechnical Designer to join our TEAM!This role provides engineering and design assistance applying standard engineering techniques for projects like:
New dam construction and dam rehabilitation.
Levees, spillways, stormwater management, and related water infrastructure.
Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, and inundation mapping.
Decommissioning of existing water infrastructure.Principal Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Design and Documentation: Assists in creating design documents like drawings, specifications, material quantities, cost estimates, and calculations.
Engineering Calculations: Performs calculations related to the design of dams, waterways, and related structures.
Fieldwork: May involve performing field tests, measurements, and collecting field data.
Cost Estimation: Gathers and records data for project cost estimates.
Vendor Compliance: Evaluates vendor drawings to ensure they meet the required specifications.
Technical Reports: Prepares technical reports or contributes to broader reports on engineering studies.
Hydraulic Modeling: May involve preparation of hydraulic models, using GIS and specialized software.
Client Interaction: Engages with clients to gather project information.Tools and Software:

Fundamentals of Engineering has been taken
