Dir ectly supervises members of the Process Controls T eam to safely and effectively support the controls systems . Mentors team members and provides training for technical and career development .
Creates and manages work schedules . Clearly communicates expectations to personnel; evaluates individual performance versus expectations .
Manages capital and maintenance projects including the rev iew of electrical, controls, and network drawings, supporting programming and commissioning of the controls system, and providing startup support including troubleshooting and loop tuning .
Works with the measurement, environmental, engineering, and operations teams to ensure timely , accurate reports, communications, and historical PI data and PI Vision displays .
Oversees, programs, and maintains various DCSs, PLCs and HMIs , SCADA systems , specifically DeltaV , Allen Bradley , WonderWare and Geo SCADA . Supports operations and engineering through the MOC/PHA/LOPA process, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ensures proper documentation of the controls systems including cause and effect diagrams, controls narratives, and network drawin gs. Responsible to ensure company standards and best practices are followed.
Oversees and coordinates contractors providing programming , control systems support , and leak detection .
Pursues responsibilities with an eye toward innovation and cultivates innovation in personnel; documents and implements as appropriate innovative ideas.
Works extended hours, including nights and weekends, in process operations environment and during periods of inclement weather. Responds to upset conditions during off-hours .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or ten (10) years of process controls experience in lieu of degree
Three (3) years Leadership experience preferred
Five (5) years Industry experience; Midstream preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
