This position contributes to the organization by preparing forecast, budget and strategic plan information, and providing actual monthly/quarterly/annual results reporting, analysis and commentary. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks both independently and in a teamwork environment to accomplish goals and meet time-sensitive deadlines. The position will focus on the daily operations of the group to drive the financial performance of the business. Knowledge of accounting theory, practice, and systems required.Perform job functions in accordance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), federal and state laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.Key responsibilities for this role include:Performs strong analytics and develops insight used to build monthly financial forecasts, Budgets, and Strategic Plans.Assist in the preparation of reporting packages and analysis of the commercial financial performance, identify and evaluate key business metrics and trends. Analyze actual versus forecasted and budgeted financial results. Provide variance analysis highlighting key business drivers as required for executive reporting, project status and expense status.Helps to drive financial performance by gaining a deep understanding of the business including key products, competitive movements, and our customers actions as well as the overall pharmaceutical industry.Develops modeling and analysis to asses and challenge commercial forecasts and transfer them into a financial plan. Reviews, challenges, and analyzes product level plans.Analyzes and evaluates budget and forecast data, calculations and underlying assumptions from both a business and financial perspective.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used in reporting, analysis, and decision-making by thoroughly analyzing conditions, trends, and facts.Build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships across the organization.Act as a resource for non-financial personnel on matters of accounting, finance and analysis.Leads various ad hoc requests on business performance and continually evaluates planning assumptions.Ensures the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of information.May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms.Sedentary lifting requirements. Periodic travel may be required.Performs other duties as assigned.The minimum qualifications for this role are:Minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, and 2-4 years of experience.MBA preferred.However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.Must possess a broad knowledge of accounting to include an understanding of the general and specific aspects of the job, and their practical applications to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.Must possess Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Hyperion and SAP a plus.Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members.Capable of managing time efficiently and multi-tasking.Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, as well as external auditors, consultants, etc.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
