This will position you to act as a technical resource for your customers and local sales team. Working with the local Research Imaging /Confocal Imaging Sales Representatives, you will identify customer needs based upon detailed discussions. Using your product and application knowledge, you will provide technical solutions to meet the customer’s microscope, imaging and system requirements. You will also train your customers on how to best utilize the tools provided. The results of your efforts will contribute to our purpose of “Making people's lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling. ”Join our dynamic team today and start your career with Olympus.Job DutiesSales and support of Olympus products and related components in the Life Science Markets including Microscopes, Digital Cameras, Imaging/Image Analysis software, and third party equipment as required.

Complete the Core Micro Training Syllabus.

Attend advanced technical training and sales training sessions.

Act as team leader of assigned territory. Serve as primary coordinator for team members to plan and conduct all major sales activities in assigned territory.

Initially observe and assist with demonstrations until skill set is developed to lead demonstrations. Research and learn technical data and application note content to address various customer needs to prepare a proposed solution.

Provide the customer with product information and application notes to address all needs and promote a complete solution.

Prepare quotations for customers to include detailed software and digital imaging specifications as provided by Imaging Specialists.

Meet sales targets by working with Imaging Specialists, Marketing and Field Engineering staff.

Develop proficiency with CRM to generate Opportunities, Quotes, and searches for various data.

Develop proficiency with administrative tools including Microsoft 365, Concur, HighSpot, Ozone (intranet), and Olympus Learning Management System as well as other administrative tools.

Develop proficiency with Elton inventory control software to maintain and manage sample account.

Provide Sales Manager with weekly call reports via entries into CRM Calendar and weekly update of CRM open opportunities.

Work to develop Olympus specifications for bids.

Operate within the Olympus Code of Ethics.

Attend National and local trade shows as assigned.

Overnight Travel is required.

Job RequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Life or Technical Science or equivalent experience required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters or Ph.D. preferred.Previous Capital Equipment Sales is a plus. Microscopy/ imaging software sales experience is preferred.

Applications knowledge is a plus.

If no sales experience, MS/ Ph.D. degree with significant microscopy and imaging software/image analysis experience.

Equivalent mix of education and applicable microscopy/ imaging experience from an accredited institution considered.

Effective training and troubleshooting skillsets are preferred.

Strong interpersonal communications and computer skills are necessary.

Perform other related essential duties as assigned.
