Job LocationAEI - Chadds Ford - [7CFD] - Chadds Ford, PADescriptionOverall Responsibility: Provides construction management direction for existing or new projects, acting as client/Company liaison in order to protect Company's interests and simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients. Ensures projects are completed with high quality level, on-time, and under-budget.
Essential Functions: Under the direction of the Director:
Provide overall project and construction management support during planning, design, construction and closeout.
Coordinate to verify and validate during construction that client requirements and expectations are being met.
Coordination of work in field with all trades.
Conducting project coordination meeting.
Preparing progress charts, construction schedules and reports.
Monthly billing review (pencil copy).
Measuring the quantities of work and certifying estimates and payments to the contractors.
Generate Weekly status reports.
Escort and supervise all access on the AOA and throughout all back of house areas.
Coordinate all access for construction in for peak and off peak hours.
Documentation for a payment requisitions.
Collect and validate As-Built drawings from the contractor
Provide project closeout
Contributes to the development of recommendations for assigned projects and others when requested by Supervisor.
Communicates and/or presents potential new business or resource information, competitive situations, or technology/regulatory factors to the Company.
Ensures all procedures and steps are in accordance with Company standards.
Acts as client/Company liaison, keeping both appropriately informed of project status.
Represents Company at project meetings.
Completes field surveys and/or inspections or assigns appropriate employees for same.
Identifies and investigates potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures.
Ensures project database is current and maintained.
Prepares high quality reports.
Communicates project changes and/or variation information appropriately.
Supervises the work of other staff when assigned.
Consults and coordinates with Supervisor at regularly scheduled meetings to review status of active and future projects.
Adheres to client/Company safety policy and OSHA requirements.
Secondary Functions:
Duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QualificationsNeeded Skills:
Excellent knowledge of underlying principals of A/E industry.
Excellent knowledge of project management processes.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Detail and safety-oriented.
Excellent communications skills.
Ability to drive and maintain a safe driving record.
Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
Education/Experience Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in construction, Engineering, or Architecture
At least 5 years of progressive responsibility within the construction industry
Must have experience with Airport projects: airport terminal buildings, airport terminal facilities and systems, airfield (runway, taxiway), at a medium and/or large air carrier airport.
Valid state driver's license (any in US).
Ability to work in US.
Ability to meet worksite security requirements.
