In this role, the intern will closely work with the Wohlers Associates team to collect and analyze data from the additive manufacturing industry including OEMs, users, service providers, funding agencies, and the investment community. While the focus will be on additive manufacturing technology, other topics areas such as robotics, sustainability, and industry 4.0 will be explored.Learning Objectives:

Introduction to AM and gain a basic understanding of the impact of these technologies on business.

Research and develop a summary of market statistics and trends.

Learn about business analytics and project management platforms/tools.

Learn about strategic planning and roadmap development.

Learn about ASTM programs and offerings, the purpose of these programs, and be familiar with the existing products.General Responsibilities:

Assist with customer inquiries, order issues, and sales tracking.

Assist in sales strategy development and implementation.

Conduct market research for market sizing, forecasts, and analysis.

Develop and maintain databases on AM stakeholders, including manufacturers and service providers.

Support marketing activities and trade show preparations.

Support advisory service projects, undertaking market research, data analysis, data modelling, and data visualization.

Compile and analyze data for internal and external reporting.Education:

Must be enrolled in or a graduate of Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.Key Requirements & Competencies:

Familiarity with business analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc)

Interest in market intelligence and additive manufacturing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; database tool experience beneficial.

Independent and team working capabilities.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.Physical Requirements:

Frequent and close visual work at desk or computer.

Frequent sitting and working at desk.

Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other stakeholders by phone or video conferencing.Time Requirements & Compensation:

Remote

35 hours per week, May/June through August.
