In this position, you will travel frequently throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to conduct on-site inspections of clinical laboratories. You will be performing on-site evaluations of all areas of the clinical laboratory to review records of the complexity of testing, laboratory personnel qualifications, instrumentation, quality assurance, laboratory management practices, and other factors to ensure compliance with the State's Clinical Laboratory Act, Federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA '88), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Blood Bank Regulations.Other duties of the position include serving as a team leader which involves directing the activities of a team when the size of the facility requires a team approach to ensure a thorough inspection is conducted. In addition, you will participate in planning and conducting formal workshops, seminars, in-service programs, and conferences which pertain to the state and federal clinical laboratory regulations in order to provide laboratories with up-to-date information for compliance.Interested in learning more? Work hours are flexible between 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30 or 60-minute lunch.
Telework: Telework is based on operational needs. This position requires frequent travel throughout the Commonwealth to conduct on-site inspections of clinical laboratories. You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part time when performing pre- and post-inspection duties following successful completion of a one-year training period. Your supervisor will work with you on a telework agreement and expectations. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Exton.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of professional laboratory work experience in a clinical laboratory, and bachelor's degree in a chemical science, biological science, or medical technology; or
One year of professional laboratory work experience in a clinical laboratory, and a master's degree in a chemical science, biological science, or medical technology.
Other Requirements:This particular position also requires applicants to possess a valid driver's license AND two years of human specimen testing experience in a CLIA certified laboratory.
