Maintenance ManagerExton, PA (On-Site)The Maintenance Manager will be a major contributor in the role of “Maintain Plant” which is to define and execute the work process “Maintenance”, in-line with departmental objectives assuring availability of equipment at the required time supporting operations and all aspects of the dsm-firmenich Biomedical site, keeping cost aligned with departmental budgets. They will also assure that dsm-firmenich Biomedical site products are of consistent and high quality by scheduling repairs, maintenance, calibration and installation of tooling & equipment.At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. Execution of the maintenance program within budgeted reliability, regulatory requirements, and maintenance costs.
Set targets and Key Performance Indicators and ensure adequate management reporting of the performance of the maintenance group.
Responsible for overall repair and maintenance of facility and equipment to minimize down time, meet production requirements, and pass audits.
Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to ensure repairs can be made in an acceptable time frame.
Develops and Updates Department SOPs as needed.
Responsible for Management of Change (MOC) process for all maintenance-initiated change requests.
Monitors the coordination of routine maintenance area and equipment maintenance, as well as work order submissions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Maintains appropriate staffing levels and technician training on all shifts to effectively support the safe production of quality products while staying in budget.
Provides effective communication and leadership in daily activities by acting as a liaison between the management team and maintenance employees to ensure all are updated on relevant issues.
Manages the performance of maintenance employees by ensuring adequate employee training, implementing corrections to issues in a timely manner (including disciplinary issues) and performing annual performance reviews.
Ensures availability for after hours and weekend maintenance issues.

You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
8+ years in a relevant manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in a GMP biotech/pharmaceutical/food environment; experience in a highly regulated environment is highly desirable; experience working with manufacturing machinery and tooling in a medical device environment or related industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Expertise in the use of MSOffice, Word and Excel, and experience in BAS (Building Automation system) is preferred.
Experience with developing and managing budgets.
