The Proposal Specialist will support ongoing Proposal Development efforts of the Environmental, Healthcare, & Facilities (EH&F) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and participate in maintaining the SharePoint Database Library, Past Performance Reviews, Website Maintenance, and Marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Proposal Development to include Proposal Writing, Editing, and Pricing strategy.

Analyze Requests for Proposals with core team to validate/verify interpretation of the requirements.

Support the Proposal Team in developing and maintaining the proposal plan, schedule, outline, and action item lists, and their associated deadlines; provide team communication and tracking support; coordinate and track the progress of documents and other materials through the proposal process.

Assess contract performance and quantitatively present metrics and performance data in Past Performance reviews for current contracts.

Support in preparing/editing/formatting EH&F SharePoint library of proposal templates, past performances, and frequently used proposal and marketing documents.

Populate and maintain SharePoint sites for document management

Research assigned topics and prepare special reports and findings.

Assist in the design, creation, and editing marketing materials.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

Preferred proposal support experience.

Preferred previous experience in Environmental, Healthcare, and/or Facilities Management fields.

Preferred.Previous government contracting experience, project management experience, and/or military experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, computer literacy, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, proficient ability to enter and manipulate data. Experience with web content manipulation tools is highly desirable.

Training and/or Experience in technical writing.

Knowledge of or ability to become proficient in SharePoint.

Familiarity with writing style and requirements for formatting of documents, presentations and other materials.

Ability to acquire and present technical information through independent reading, interviews with subject-matter specialists, observation of tests and experiments, interpretation of diagrams, or other appropriate methods.

Experience to include: using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro to access, create, edit, or manipulate documents; reviewing documents to verify completeness, correctness, consistency, and compliance with standards; creating tables, charts, graphs, or diagrams to organize information; preparing and issuing documents.

Must be able to edit, write, and/or rewrite technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively on research findings, technical developments, and other information to a wide range of external audiences.

Possesses the ability to synthesize the complex information provided by Subject Matter Experts, and obtained through meetings, conferences, and other forums.

Possess the ability to produce clear, accurate, grammatically correct, and convincing written expression.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
