SCI Frackville, a correctional facility, is currently on the lookout for an exceptional individual to fill the role of a Corrections Employment Vocational Coordinator. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Corrections Employment Vocational Coordinator (CEVC), you will provide employment and skills development opportunities to inmates within the correctional institution. You will be responsible for managing inmate jobs and academic and/or vocational program assignments for which inmates are compensated.You will be responsible for determining job openings, interviewing, and reviewing all inmates before being assigned to work details. You will be providing vocational counseling directed at employment and skill development opportunities. You will also be coordinating and implementing the inmate payroll and compensation system.If you have the required experience and are looking to start a meaningful career, the Department of Corrections wants to hear from you!Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $56,900.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as a Corrections Employment and Vocational Assistant; or

Two years of para-professional experience in obtaining and evaluating vocational or employment information; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
