Check schedules and organize patient flow to ensure efficient operations.
Accompany patients to exam or procedure rooms and assist with walking, transfers, and dressing as needed.
Collect patient information and medical history, take vitals, and perform screenings according to provider guidelines.
Relay instructions to patients and their families for clarity and understanding.
Send and receive patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment, and maintain cleanliness to prevent infection.
Manage inventory of supplies, restocking exam and procedure rooms as necessary.
Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs, assisting physicians with procedures and documenting patient information accurately.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hireCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
