Essential duties and responsibilities may include any of the following:Preconstruction: The role involves completing design concepts for incomplete documents, reviewing design and engineering calculations for cost and schedule impacts, and conducting life cycle cost analyses to benefit clients. It also includes generating schematic drawings, supporting the Preconstruction Manager with scope control and project coordination, and acting as a resource for Project Managers and field personnel on design issues. Additionally, it requires researching engineering solutions both internally and externally.Engineering: The role involves handling engineering tasks from conceptual design to construction drawing development. Key responsibilities include performing economic and energy analyses, load calculations, and designing equipment and systems. It also includes reviewing ATC sequences, equipment submittals, and assisting with project execution, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving. Additionally, the role supports project estimating and proposal writing, along with other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.Estimating: The role includes helping to create budget estimates and define scope from design drawings, developing and maintaining estimating methods and processes, and ensuring effective communication with the estimating and project teams for accuracy. It also involves updating estimates as designs progress and managing a database of estimating information from previous projects.Project Management: The role supports construction project managers in coordinating project activities to ensure quality, adherence to schedules, and cost control. Responsibilities include planning and organizing daily operations, preparing construction schedules in Microsoft Project (or other), tracking costs, labor, and quantities, providing technical guidance to field foremen, and assisting with ordering equipment and materials.Project Development: The role involves conducting thorough site surveys to identify inefficiencies and working with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to address them. Assist in calculating energy and operational savings, and life cycle costs, while ensuring high-quality work through technical analysis and collaboration. Support sales efforts by attending client meetings and preparing detailed bid documents and cost estimates for energy-efficient technologies. Provide project development support throughout all project phases and maintaining communication and customer service.Solar Development/Engineering: The role includes utility bill analysis, solar site due diligence, design, estimating, and financial modeling. Additional tasks might include research, market analysis, and working cross-departmentally to compile and update information for proposals, case studies, and other marketing projects.Other duties as assigned for each.Education, experience, technical skills & attributes required:

Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Energy, Construction Management or related discipline required

Strong knowledge and proficiency using the latest software including AutoCad/BIM/Bluebeam and others

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to set and manage priorities

Proficiency in operating Microsoft Office programs

Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving ability

Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

Energetic with a high sense of urgency

Ability and willingness to travel regionally

Provide personal transportation for off-site meetings/job visits; company reimbursed mileage
