Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a long-term contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA. This role is primarily based around the functions of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The chosen candidate will be expected to work on-site.Responsibilities: Analyzing vendor invoice descriptions, check requests or rent vouchers, and charging expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers. Updating and entering new vendor names and data, including W9 and 1099 information. Ensuring that all payments have been properly authorized. Inputting invoice records into the system accurately for payment. Timely and accurate processing of checks, issuing stop payments when necessary. Maintaining accounts payable records in line with records retention policies and procedures. Applying customer payments and credit memos in accordance with fiscal procedures. Verifying discrepancies and resolving billing issues, recommending adjustments when appropriate. Assisting in the payment of overdue invoices by sending reminders or coordinating meetings. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential. Must possess strong skills in Billing. Data Entry experience is required.
