Maintenance / Engineering Administrator Job Description

Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PMPrimary DutiesResponsibilities
Maintenance Administrative Duties:
Coordinate PMs: Print and distribute Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for maintenance technicians and operators.
Data Entry: Accurately enter completed PMs into the system, input critical data from maintenance tech sheets into Excel, and verify all supplies and materials used were correctly consumed in Megamations.
Procurement: Create purchase requisitions to order critical parts and supplies.
Inventory Management: Organize, count, cycle count, and update parts inventory, ensuring all items are placed correctly and reflected in inventory management software.
Support Technicians: Begin to learn responsibilities of technicians; once adequate training is completed - may assist with technician during call-offs or PTO to address urgent issues and maintain smooth operations.
Reporting: Complete, maintain, and track PM completion charts. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve metrics.
Supply Orders: Maintain a minimum quantity of essential maintenance materials and supplies; order replacements as needed.
Documentation: Assist in creating and updating maintenance records for accuracy, including equipment and facility PM procedures.
Downtime Tracking: Record machine downtime, identify trends, and assist in problem-solving using root cause analysis.
Engineering Administrative Duties:
Project Coordination: Assist with planning and scheduling engineering projects.
Document Control: Maintain and update engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.
Communication: Interacts with engineering and maintenance teams to assist with clear and effective communication.
Technical Support: Provide administrative s pport to engineering staff, including report preparation, creating, and locating drawings for part creation or repair.
Training Coordination: Develop and Implement training tools, organize, and schedule training sessions for contributors.
Lean Manufacturing Initiatives:Assist with 6S and other lean manufacturing initiatives.
Required Experience / Skills
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail for accurate data entry and inventory management.
Problem-Solving: Ability to assist in troubleshooting and provide support when needed.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Engineering Knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering principles and terminology preferred. Familiarity with 3D modeling software and AutoCAD preferred.QualificationsJob Type: Full-time
