These positions are full-time telework eligible depending on experience and situation. Team Members in the Division find the career to be both rewarding and meaningful in its mission with a nice mix of office and field work, all while actively working on projects from conceptual design through construction.DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This Civil Engineer Hydraulic position functions as a Project Specialist in the Division of Dam Safety's Field Engineering Section and is involved in performing a variety of journey-level civil engineering work including hydrology and hydraulics and general monitoring requirements for dams under the provisions of the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act, including the Chapter 105 Dam Safety and Waterway Management rules and regulations, the Clean Streams Law and the Flood Plain Management Act.If this position is filled as a Civil Engineer Trainee, the incumbent will participate in a one-year formal on-the-job training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer Hydraulic.Additional details regarding the duties of this position may be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the assigned location.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of civil engineering experience, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or in a closely related field, which includes or was supplemented by major course work in civil engineering; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Conditions of Employment:

This position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.Other Requirements:PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
