Build, scale, and secure Meta’s corporate Video Conferencing and Media Systems infrastructure, working mostly in a Linux environment.
Develop tooling, user interfaces, data pipelines and structures, and automation by combining open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the business.
Work in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well together.
Apply modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to scale Meta's rapidly growing Enterprise infrastructure.
Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger facebook.com infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.
Be the final escalation point for issues related to the Video Conferencing and Media Systems Infrastructure.
Produce systems and services that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to take on operations.
Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the US.
Salary: $170,259 to $180,000.00 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications Systems Management, or a related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 12 months of experience in the following:
Python
Ruby or similar object oriented language
Thrift or similar translation protocols
SIP protocols for Voice/Video
Monitoring and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef
Systems administration in a Linux environment
Shell scripting
SQL and Database management
Building, maintaining, and monitoring web service-oriented architectures
Supporting CI/CD workloads.
