The Department of General Services (DGS) is excited to welcome a motivated Facility Services Manager 2 to perform a variety of administrative, management, and supervisory functions surrounding the maintenance, custodial services, and control of the Harristown 1 and 2 buildings in Harrisburg. Advance your professional career while providing quality services to your fellow Pennsylvanians!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Facility Services Manager 2, you will plan, organize, direct, and supervise in-house maintenance repairmen and contracted personnel who are engaged in accomplishing repairs and replacement of parts, as well as preventive maintenance throughout the assigned building. You will work with and monitor contractors completing repairs, construction, and renovations to the interior and exterior of buildings, and ensure management is kept informed of projects and progress.Within this role, you will perform routine daily building inspections to ensure custodial, environmental control, and maintenance standards are achieved and that all deficiencies are cited. This position plans, develops, and coordinates the specifications and requirements for contracts in coordination with the Bureau of Facilities Management and the Bureau of Real Estate, in addition to serving as the Building Recycling Coordinator.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

This position is considered essential, meaning you may need to report to work during emergencies and office closings.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Facility Services Manager 1 (commonwealth title); or

Five years of routine maintenance work experience which includes three years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility; or

An associate's degree in commercial property management, commercial real estate, industrial technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical technology, electronics, building automation, construction, or related fields; and three years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes three years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility.Special Requirements:
