Summary
Oversees the development and implementation of process optimization and automation. Works with key employees to understand operational needs and processes; and to identify, program and implement automation to improve processes and to drive organizational performance through increased efficiencies. Provides assistance in maintaining information technology systems and data applications so ensure that data automation processes are running effectively and that data collection and reporting is accurate.Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with supervisor, executive team and other key employees to determine business processes, workflows and system analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
Gather and document business requirements through meetings, interviews and observations.
Develop functional specifications and system design specifications.
Work with teams to prioritize business requirements and manage project scope.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
Develop and test process improvement strategies.
Facilitate end user training sessions and provide support during testing.
Implement strategies/solutions.
Develop processes to monitor and maintain automation solutions; including the use of alerts that can be used by end users.
Monitor the effectiveness of strategies/solutions and make adjustments as needed.
Provides timely support to end users and establishes monitoring and maintenance protocols that ensure high up time for all automation processes.
Maintains detailed and organized documentation of business processes, requirements, specifications, testing activities, regular reviews/audits, and on-going maintenance.
Act as a liaison between departments, IT and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals and achievements.
Maintains a current technical knowledge of the fast and ever-changing technologies. Develops training materials and performs staff trainings on a regular basis to ensure that staff are understanding and embracing the use of AI/ML.
Assists Director of Information Technology with project management duties for large installations of new technology; assists with the development of data and reporting to ensure appropriate availability of data for analysis and management needs; and provides ongoing oversight of data dashboards to ensure analysis is driving operational decisions that ensure growth of sales and profits.
Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.
Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Director of Information Technology.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer systems analysis, computer science, computer information systems (CIS) or relevant field; or Associates Degree in computer systems analysis, computer science, computer information systems (CIS) with two (2) years' experience in the relevant field; or HSD/GED and four (4) years' relevant experience which enables the individual to meet the standards and expectations of the position.
Two (2) years of experience in related work required.
Prior experience in automation preferred.
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and excellent proficiency and understanding of Microsoft SQL Engin .
Knowledge and experience with AI/ML tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Fabric/Power Platform (BI, Apps, Automate), or similar business intelligence platforms preferred.
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Proficiency in identifying issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Must have excellent analytical skills and ability to identify errors/problems to ensure timely resolutions.
Above average interpersonal skills and ability to work across the organization and levels of employees; must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to effectively work as part of a team or independently.
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
