Pervasive Sensing Business Development Manager

The Northeast Pervasive Sensing Business Development Manager will ensure an appropriate level of Pervasive Sensing product focus within the Northeast region by working closely with Field Sales to achieve target levels of customer satisfaction and financial performance. The location for this position is flexible within the East Area of the United States . In this position, you will partner with customers to make the world healthier, safer, and more sustainable!In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Area Product Sales Leadership: Assist in providing training to various sales channels to ensure levels of product/application expertise exist. Communicate and facilitate the implementation of business unit sales strategies within a sales area. Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution. Provide direction on target accounts based on business unit segmentation strategies. Provide input on salesperson product knowledge and sales performance. Support local trade show participation. Maintain and communicate knowledge of competitor, strategies, and products. Spend at least 30%+ of time traveling with salespersons and face-to-face with customers. Suggest appropriate sales and service staffing levels to implement divisional strategies. Suggest appropriate candidates for divisional partnerships. Provide pricing authority for major projects.

Product Line Planning. Suggest new products and/or enhancement and coordinate new product field testing, introductions, and training within assigned area.

Planning Input: Coordinate factory resource needs and provide input on competitor strategies within assigned area. Identify regional market opportunities. Contribute to market segment definition and establishment of business unit position within a segment. Provide ongoing feedback on the success of strategy implementation. Participate in forecasting activities while maintaining responsibility for achieving established sales goals.

General Business Support: Monitor pricing and discounting, customer satisfaction levels, and recommendations for improvement. Ensure divisional quality plans are understood and followed.

Assure Pervasive Sensing bookings meet the assigned penetration and product mix goals.

Provide mentoring, training, and coaching to sales team.

Ensure customer service excellence to new and existing accounts.

Report required data in a timely and clear fashion.

Teach, model, and enforce professional ethics standards.

Use cross-divisional collaboration to increase Team Emerson potential.

Implement and enforce approved administrative policies and procedures.

Analyze booking data and trends.

Study competitors to provide data to field sales and the factory.

Who You Are:A highly motivated, organized, self-starter who enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. You work independently and possess good business skills, work well across organizational lines, make quality decisions, and effectively collaborate with your team.For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Technical Field

Minimum of seven (7) years of industry experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing

Valid driver's license

Willingness and ability to travel within territory as required between 50%-60%

Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
