THE POSITION

In this role, you will conduct technical inspections and engage in enforcement and service activities related to agronomic products and pesticides within the Bureau of Plant Industry. Do not miss this chance to become part of our dedicated team-apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be responsible for conducting technical inspections, sampling, enforcing regulations, and providing service related to animal food, fertilizer, seed and pesticides within the Bureau of Plant Industry. Your responsibilities will encompass inspecting a range of production facilities, as well as wholesale and retail operations, to ensure adherence to both state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will investigate and document complaints related to consumer protection and agricultural worker safety, and assess pesticide application businesses and applicators to ensure compliance with established regulations.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position will be home headquartered if applicant lives in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Franklin, Perry, or York Counties.

Applicant will be required to report to 2301 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA for non-inspection/office work.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:A bachelor's degree in the agricultural or biological sciences, which includes 3 credits in chemistry, 3 credits in plant science, and 3 credits in animal science; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 3 credits in chemistry, 3 credits in plant science, and 3 credits in animal science.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Special Requirement:
