DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Revenue Fiscal Analyst 2, you will serve as the primary analyst for legislative and fiscal issues relating to Voluntary Compliance Initiative programs and a back-up analyst for issues relating to sales tax, pass-through entities, and corporation taxes. Work will require you to demonstrate proficiency in understanding both business and data perspectives of the Department of Revenue (DOR) systems and applications. In this role, you will analyze the effectiveness of the specialized examination programs to ensure compliance with laws, interpret tax laws, and provide technical guidance to bureau employees and the Department. You will have the opportunity to identify new problem areas to be researched for potential examination and analysis and to develop and assist in the implementation of enforcement programs.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, reporting to the office as needed or directed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Revenue Fiscal Analyst 1; or

Two years of experience in fiscal analysis and a master's degree in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or computer science; or

Three years of technical experience in fiscal analysis and a bachelor's degree including thirty credits in economics, statistics, mathematics, and/or computer science; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirement:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualification (not required):

At least one year of working experience which involved enforcing tax rules and regulations relating directly to the administration of sales and use tax.

Legal Requirement:

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.How to Apply:
