Apply now to continue digitally connecting the world and shaping the future.The RoleThe Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity leads the company's efforts to identify, expand and accelerate the use of Small, Minority-owned, Women-owned, Small Disadvantaged, Veteran-owned, HUB Zone, Disability and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual (LGBTQ) business enterprises. This person establishes the corporate strategy for a comprehensive Supplier Diversity Program and leads in the implementation and management of the program for the company. This includes developing annual and multi-year program plans to meet or exceed supplier diversity goals. The Senior Manager will have one direct report as well as support from various parts of the Procurement organization.The Senior Manager acts as the company representative to local, regional, state, and national supplier diversity organizations, associations or regulating bodies. Implements, manages, and enhances various aspects of the company’s Supplier Diversity Program including, policies, procedures, objectives, processes, and communications to increase opportunities across the corporation for, and participation with, small and/or diverse suppliers. Ensures that Diverse business enterprises are given full consideration on in the company’s bidding and selection on processes. Establishes comprehensive outreach strategies and prioritizes the company’s efforts to maximize best-in-class opportunities.Requires strong partnerships with diverse supplier communities, the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Team, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Sales Team, Procurement, and other internal customers to ensure the company's business objectives are met. Directly engages in vendor outreach, vendor due diligence, pairs internal opportunities with qualified Diverse Suppliers, assists in contract negotiations and leads diverse supplier relationship building. Engages with stakeholders at all levels throughout the company requiring managerial acumen, tact, and awareness of the company's business environment.This position is responsible for insuring accurate and timely reporting regarding the company's Supplier Diversity plans, efforts and achievements to public sector and commercial customers.Work Location - Remote US LocationsThe Main ResponsibilitiesThis individual is the face of the Global Supplier Diversity Program and will working with Global Procurement and Sales Teams to various parts of the Lumen organization to position our program to be best-in class.Is knowledgeable of and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and FAR clauses related to supplier diversity.Prepares required filings and, as necessary, testimony to the respective regulatory entities. Provide support and assistance in developing proposal responses containing a small and/or diverse business requirement.Compiles data to analyze the effectiveness of the supplier diversity program against stated goals.Maintains reporting responsibility for Federal, State, Local and Commercial diversity requirements.Acts as the primary advocate for supplier diversity within the organization. Builds relationships with key stakeholders across the company to facilitate achievement of supplier diversity goals.Consults with Procurement, Supply Chain and various business leaders to ensure appropriate identification, qualification, and inclusion of diverse suppliers. Guides company employees with sourcing responsibility towards consistently including diverse suppliers in the competitive bidding process.What We Look For in a Candidate7+ years of supplier diversity program management experience, including small/diverse vendor outreach, small/diverse vendor sourcing, reporting to government entities, and project management.Knowledge of government subcontract reporting requirements, most importantly Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)MBA degree a plus but not required.Knowledge of Public Utilities Commission diversity regulatory requirements a plus (GO 156 in California, etc.)Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Excel software, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to manage multiple projects at a timeQuality-focused, customer-oriented individual with the business and critical skills to manage a wide variety of supplier diversity activities.Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, team building, problem solving, listening and relationship building.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be a self-starter and be able to deal with demanding situations on a day-to-day basis.EducationBachelors or EquivalentCompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
