DescriptionAccountemps currently has long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys taking on new challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting.This Senior Accountant opening is located in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area and will offer you great experience, strong compensation, and an attractive benefits package. We are need of a Senior Accountant with proven analytical skills and enjoys the thrill of working in a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Assemble monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Ad-hoc projects as required
Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Requirements
Proficiency with QuickBooks and MS Excel are required
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reporting
BA/BS in Accounting
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Account reconciliation experience required
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Budget forecasting experience
Ability to work well with functional department managers
Demonstrated analytical abilities; must be hard-working, trustworthy and have the ability to be qualify for licensing (clear background)
Proficient in ERP systems
