Summary/ Objective:

Ensure our customers and branches have their wire requests fulfilled in an agreed-upon time frame.Coordinate the accuracy of our wire inventory. Perform other tasks in support of warehousing functions.

Essential Functions:

Cut the wire to match quantities and specifics on sales order/transfer

Communicate with sales on time frames and workload of wire cutting area

Maintain inventory accuracy on wire reels and coils

Keep wire-cutting equipment in good working condition

Maintain wire area clean and orderly

Communicate with shipping on needs for special deliveries

Communicate with writers when work tickets are processed

Assist with all aspects of wire orders

Miscellaneous duties as needed

Competencies:

Ability to work independently

Good at both verbal and written communication

Accurate attention to detail

Good hand, eye coordination

Mechanically inclined

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are present in the warehouse.

Physical Demands:

the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, push/pull) weight up to 50lbs unassisted

The ability to climb a ladder

The ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and various warehousing machinery/tools

Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently

Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Education and Experience:
