I am a middle-aged man with chronic pain who is paralyzed from the chest down. I need one or two people to help me from 9 AM to 3 PM or 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. The pay is between $15 and $20 per hour depending upon your experience. However, we are willing to train the right person, so NO EXPERIENCE is required.
I need help with the following:
-Transferring in and out of bed
-Bed bath
-Dressing
-Repositioning
-Meal prep, serving, and cleanup
-Sitting up in bed
-Emptying/rinsing out urine collection bag
-Accompanying me to doctor appointments and social events
-Interacting with computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Google Chrome
-Writing/reading emails and texts
-Making phone calls
You must meet the following requirements:
-Own your own vehicle
-Pass a FBI clearance check
-Have three references
-Be detail oriented and able to follow specific instructions
-Not mind when asked to do tasks in the specific ways I prefer to have them done
-Understand that if my parents or I correct you, we are not being critical. I need my care done in specific ways so my chronic pain does not increase.
-Have short fingernails
-Wear a mask when interacting with me face-to-face
The following are preferred but not required:
-Receive annual Covid-19 and flu vaccination
-Able to cook
