Position: Ophthalmic Technician
Location: Machanicsburg, PA
Schedule: Thurs/Fridays/Saturdays (9 AM – 6 PM) schedule may change
Potential for Full-Time: Yes, we will be quickly ramping up to full time and need someone with flexibility to move to full time.

What We’re Looking For:

Someone who can adapt and is excited to learn new technologies and techniques.
Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology practice is a plus, but we’re happy to train if you have the right and positive attitude!
Someone who can help optimize patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience.
Looking for a leader (one who can manage a small team) and who is responsive, responsible, professional and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
Assist in patient intake, book appointments, answer phone calls, fax letters (front desk duties)
Conduct preliminary tests and examinations
Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems and collaborate with the clinic team to enhance patient care.
Educate patients on procedures and post-care instructions, ensuring a comfortable experience in the clinic.
Uphold aseptic techniques and assist in the preparation of examination rooms.
Requirements:
Minimum: High school diploma (or equivalent).
Preferred: Certified Ophthalmic Technician Certification (COT), or similar certification.
Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is preferred but not required - as long as you are a quick learner we want to hear from you!
Comfortable with ophthalmic equipment and assisting with telemedicine procedures. Must also be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and learn on the job fast as well.
What We Offer:
Hourly Pay: $16-20 per hour, based on experience.
