This position fulfills all of these qualities with direct patient care, assisting in exams and entering medical data where attention to detail and documentation is very important.
Some of the position duties are as follows:
- Record medical history of the patient
- Pre-test the patient for color vision, pressure inside of the eye, visual acuity, depth perception and visual field testing
- Cleans pre-test, contact lens and exam equipment and rooms to COVID standards
- Help doctor with specialized testing
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology and medical terminology
- Experience in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
- Experience with medical records management
