Job Purpose: This entry level delivery supervisor will assist with coordinating the returns process; while also assisting in the guidance of independent contract carriers through coaching those ICCs in a warehouse environment.
Duties: Monitor delivery routes and returns at the end of the day. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Accomplishes objectives by educating, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling independent contractor carriers; communicating expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Meets shipping operational standards by contributing shipping information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying shipping system improvements.
Skills/Qualifications: Bilingual with Spanish required Ready to make a difference Customer focus Must be able to lift heavy objects (50-75 lbs.) Stand and/or walk for long periods of time Hands-on mentality Supervision High energy level Deadline-oriented Dependability Persistence Independence Safety management Reporting skills Computer proficient.
Schedule: The location is open 5 days-a-week. Tuesday-Saturday deliveries with occasional Sundays or Mondays to support our client's needs. Hours: Noon to close.
