About the Role:Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist to join our team at our facility in Hatfield, PA. As a Lathe Set Up Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality parts. This role requires expertise in CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) or CNC Lathe (5+ axis), as well as proficiency in blueprint reading, ability to interpret G-Code, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Set up and operate CNC lathes, including Okuma and Doosan machines, to produce precision parts
Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining operations and specifications
Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and programming
Utilize calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with CNC machines, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
Write and modify G-Code and M-Code programs as needed
Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company guidelinesQualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist Set Up, with expertise in CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) and CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
Strong knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming
Ability to perform machine setups for production runs
Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and resolving issues with CNC machines
Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges
Basic computer skills for program modification and documentation
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
