Behavior Health Technician (BHT)Overview: The BHT plays a crucial role in implementing the Intensive Behavior Health Services treatment
plan, collaborating with the Behavior Consultant and the treatment team. The primary responsibility is
to work one-on-one with an identified child, implementing an Individualized Treatment Plan while
employing behavior management and crisis intervention techniques.Essential Duties:
Monitor activities of assigned child, emphasizing identified problem areas.
Intervene when problem behaviors occur, using appropriate strategies and plan procedures.
Implement specialized plans (behavioral, recreation, art/leisure).
Maintain detailed service delivery records, noting progress and challenges.
Attend weekly clinical consultations and continuing education units as required.
Perform other reasonable and necessary duties.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Either:
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in providing behavioral health services.
2. Completion of a 40-hour RBT Task List training with certification from a BCBA or BCaBA trainer.
Preferred: Associates or Bachelors in Psychology, Social Work, or related disciplines.
