This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D0849000 and is part of the PA United States Property and Fiscal Office, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. Responsibilities As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07, you will serve as manager for assigned materials. Review justification and approves issues for emergency requests. Manage and review supply transactions based on dollar limitations, status of Obligation Authority (OA), status of consumer funds and verifying with requisitioning activity. Initiate and review input/output reports to ensure that adequate and accurate management information is provided as directed. Maintain contacts with customers for critical shortages. Draft correspondence pertaining to individual transactions or stock numbers for assigned materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees working at the location specified AOC 2: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 3: All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (to include Temporary Technicians) AOC 4: Service Members currently serving in another branch and are willing to become members of the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Grades: Enlisted: E1-E8 Supervisor for this position is MSG Mahoney GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
