The White Oil Coordinator position is responsible for making finished white oil/solvent/gel/cable blends and interfacing with the sales team to ensure that the required products are available for on-time delivery to customers within the customer's specification. This position is responsible for overseeing all operations and personnel Versagel Compounding and Magie Rack.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and enforce a safe working environment in the plant and ensure all plant HSE policies are followed.

Coordinate filtering, blending, and shipments of all White Oil and Solvent business for the site.

Ensure adequate finished inventories to meet sales.

Planning and ordering of raw material and product railcars from the Butler Yard.

Directly supervise unit operators at the Versagel Compounding and Magie Rack.

Assist in training of all unit operators, qualify operators for job and monitor their performance.

Maintain a good attitude and work ethic as an example for other personnel.

Maintain good labor relations and comply with established work practices and the current collective bargaining agreement as it pertains to unit operators.

Maintain all files that pertain to unit operations per record retention procedure.

Ensures operators maintain housekeeping standards.

Communicate with appropriate personnel in the plant to facilitate production.

Ensure all necessary operating supplies are available for continuous operation.

Have ability to perform all operating tasks required at the Versagel Compounding and Magie Rack.

Participate in the Incident Command System, incident investigation and PSM activities such as, RFCs and HAZOPs.

Capable of performing the following tasks in SAP:

Product Movements

Production Orders

Inventory Cycle Counts

Purchase Requisitions

Batch Creation

Approve maintenance work orders and collaborate with maintenance personnel to schedule and complete maintenance activities.

Review and update operating procedures in Carmen System.

Develop unit operator weekly shift schedules and reconcile time in the electronic payroll system.

Work closely with lab personnel to make blends, review lab results, adjust products and create batches in WinLims.

Present blend and trucking report in daily meeting.

Select topics and facilitate monthly safety meetings with unit operators.

Support a 24 hour/day 7 day/week operation. This may require responding to phone calls and working additional hours needed to maintain a safe, environmentally sound operation.

Provide additional daily supervisory coverage as needed.

This position requires fit testing.

Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

High school diploma or GED required

Five years of operating, lab or blending experience preferred

Must be able to identify problems and propose solutions

Must be able to assign duties and motivate other personnel

Must encourage a positive safety culture

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

Basic computer literacy

Capable of working effectively in a team environment

Good communication, time management and interpersonal skills

Capability and willingness to supervise employees and hold them accountable

Excellent organizational skills
