DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is for a Release Manager in either Aurora, CO or Valley Forge, PA who is mission focused and passionate about scheduling, planning, and controlling the software development process and delivery. This candidate will be joining our team of distributed engineers to help shape the release process and delivery of custom applications and advanced R&D solutions for our customers. This position will offer some work from home flexibility.Requirements
As a Release Manager, your responsibilities include:
Scheduling, managing and coordinating releases across multiple applications within programs across different teams
Constructing a release calendar for different projects to have a centralized view of all releases
Managing and mitigating risks and resolving issues regarding release quality and schedule
Communicating crucial release plans and change through release readiness reviews, deployment and implementationSalary Information
The annual base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $168,000. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline only. The many factors that are included for consideration include, but are not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, training, certifications, key skills, and mission/customer intimacy. These factors are combined with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with SSBI
Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, feature toggles, and branch handling
Experience working in Agile or DevOps development environments, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Development, Integration, and Verification teams
Demonstrated experience working projects across dispersed organizations and geographical locations
3-5 years of experience overseeing the development of systems to ensure they meet client needs and preferencesDesired skills (bonus points):
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engaging with virtual teams
Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for the US DoD
Familiarity with using AWS cloud computing resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality
Experience in application development, virtualization, and containerization
