Job Title: Engineering Design TechnicianJob Description
This individual will be working on the CAD Design work for Diamond Power's products (boilers and boiler cleaning systems, infrared cameras for boiler cleaning systems). - Initially will be very heavy mechanical design, down the line will transition into more electrical design (they cross-train within, need someone with more mechanical experience on the front end). - Initially, they will be responsible for designing installation drawings for Diamond Power's clients (how to install purchased products on site). - Diamond Power's clients include: 40% coal/fire utility sites, 30% pulp and paper mills, 25% refineries and general industrial work. - Completing mechanical installation drawings for equipment specifically designed for customers using AutoCAD Mechanical. - Assisting with drawings of control system enclosures, including wiring of the panels, interconnecting wiring drawings and physical layout of control panel plates and enclosures using AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Mechanical. - Assisting with 3-D models of equipment components using AutoCAD Inventor. - Detailed checking of drawings completed by other designers/drafters/engineers. - Working with Project Managers to ensure customer specs are met.
Hard Skills
1-5 years of experience within AutoCAD (Will be mostly focused on Mechanical Design at first, will move into Electrical Design down the line).
Ability to do true Mechanical design within AutoCAD (Must have AutoCAD, Inventor is a plus).
Exposure to Electrical Design is also a plus, but they have the ability to cross-train internally.
