Overview of the Role:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for executing all aspects of the design, layout, and final delivery of projects to meet company goals and objectives. Must have an eye for design and possess knowledge of emerging UX/UI concepts. Must also have a strong understanding of how design solutions relate to marketing, especially within the digital landscape.
The position will be directly responsible for the design and development of transactional and promotional emails across our extensive email marketing program. This includes design of banner ads, landing pages, print ads and more. Work with many different divisions within the organization for concept, execution, and implementation of design projects whether that is web, email and/or print. The Designer thrives in converting valuable insights and their creativity into call-to-action driven marketing collateral.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Design engaging email creative fully framed around industry’s best practices for conversion
HTML coding of emails and set up within our Email Service Provider platform as well as setting up automated email campaign flows and transactional emails.
Design engaging ads, banners, landing pages and other digital media collateral.
Ensure all packaging design aligns with our brand guidelines and industry best practices
Create retail point of sale assets and other physical design representations of Woodstream brands
Design branded printable assets for trade shows
Prepare packaging mockups and 3D renderings of samples for presentations
Work across the entire design process for new projects – from concept to final implementation
Coordinate the planning and execution of design projects with the Marketing team

Gain deep understanding of site infrastructure, products, and segments
Turn around high-quality design under tight timelines
Attend and actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and project meetings
Support other departments with graphics as needed
Work creatively and quickly meeting quality and accuracy standards
Ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time
Work collaboratively, presenting your work for internal critiques and team reviews
Understanding of and experience in branding, layout, and typography in both print and digital media
Be willing and able to share knowledge/best practices with other team members in a proactive manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Successful Candidate Profile:
Associates degree in Graphic Design or similar; college degree preferred: BA in Graphic Design or similar
2-3 years of experience in web design required. Previous e-commerce site design experience a major plus.
Skilled with the following Adobe programs, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver. Working knowledge of Adobe Animate or Premiere a major plus.
Able to write clean HTML and CSS for both email marketing and some front-end work on websites
Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
Print press experience is a major plus
Dependable, solid work ethic, detail-oriented, self-motivated
Creative and innovative problem solver
Professional, effective written communications skills required.
Positive attitude and high level of energy.
Must be able to provide creative portfolio on request.
