We are accepting resumes for the position of Kitchen Manager of the AmishView Inn & Suites. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing a very valued team, together, providing an outstanding breakfast buffet and a la carte experience for our guests. Breakfast in this award-winning hotel is a very important amenity for our guests. The right candidate will be hands on, working alongside their team to create an environment of delicious food, cleanliness, and superior customer service for our guests. The right candidate will have experience in managing a strong BOH staff with proven success. Candidates should be organized, possess excellent cooking skills, and lead by example.

Our businesses include Miller’s Smorgasbord, Miller’s Bakery, The Quilt Shop at Miller’s, Locally Made Food Shop, Anna’s Gifts & Sundries, Plain & Fancy Farm, AmishView Inn and Suites, Smokehouse BBQ and Brews, and Plain & Fancy Country Store.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years management experience in the day-to-day operations of a busy, restaurant.

English and Spanish language skills strongly preferred

Experienced in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing a talented and focused staff.

Ability to use a computer to order from vendors and maintain inventories

A history of working with organizations who embrace management process and principles.

Effective interpersonal skills in communicating with guests, staff, management, owners, and suppliers. Strong emphasis on guest hospitality.

Job Responsibilities:

Work 5 shifts per week, approximately 5:30AM – 1:30PM on weekdays and weekends, occasional evening and overtime may be required.

Maintaining pre-established policies and procedures and suggesting improvements where necessary with a safety-first focus.

Ensure that breakfast is opened in a timely manner, and food is cooked and maintained on the buffet to service the guest flow.

Hold team members accountable to policies, procedures and standards through coaching, and leading by example.

Light grill work is required for our a la carte breakfast items,

Recruit, hire, train, cross-train, and retain an exceptional staff. Must lead and develop a successful team by defining expectations, mentoring, and teaching.

Manage purchasing within food cost parameters, working with primary suppliers
