Horse farm in Conestoga, PA hiring stable hand and a groom. Ideally we are looking for someone who can do full time 7am-4pm or morning shifts 7am – 11am. Starting pay is $14/hr (depending on experience) with quick bump up pending performance. Please note this job is on the books and done through payroll so you have to be permitted to work in the US. Not offering housing at this time.
Stable hand responsibilities: mucking out (straw stalls), turnout, feeding, general farm maintenance.
Groom responsibilities: help with morning barn chores including turnout and muckout, tack and untack horses, clean tack, etc.
Candidates must:
1) Have experience working at a horse farm;
2) Be able to lift 50 lbs;
3) Speak English fluently;
4) Have hustle – this is a busy farm and you need to be able to do a good job in an efficient amount of time;
5) Follow directions – we have a high standard of care - and be self motivated;
6) Work well with others. We do not do drama. Ability to communicate, be respectful to other staff and clients, and conduct yourself in a professional manner is paramount;
7) Be a nonsmoker; and
8) Willing to have a background check.
