Lancaster Farming is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team! Every Saturday, the newspaper delivers news, market and commodity reports, and agribusiness information to more than 60,000 paid subscribers in Pennsylvania and fifteen other states.Free public parking available in Ephrata.Outside Sales Representative Essential Job Functions (Full Description):Develop and demonstrate complete knowledge of Lancaster Farming and weekly publications in order to sell advertising.Develop work plans to exceed annual revenue goals for all Lancaster Farming print products, ensuring maximum sales and service with current, past, new and advertisers.Develop and demonstrate knowledge of customers, their merchandise, sales and advertising objectives and develop familiarity with market.Participate in activities that are relevant to meeting customers, gaining marketing information, sharing ideas and representing the company’s interests.Actively search for new customers by cold calling, prospecting, asking for referrals, looking for leads in competitive media, etc.Demonstrate prompt, fair, decisive, and courteous actions in handling complaints and inquiries.Project a professional, positive and enthusiastic image during the performance of dutiesDemonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skillsComplete call reports and assignments promptly and within deadlines.Attend trade shows, training, etc.Flexibility to change work habits and tasks as the company continues to implement advances in technology to improve efficiency.May work irregular hours to meet department deadlines.Performs other duties and functions required by the manager.What are we looking for?A High School Diploma or G.E.D.At least two years’ customer service experienceAt least four years sales experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office productsOrganizational skills and to work in a fast-paced environmentValid driver’s license and access to dependable transportationUse of basic office equipmentMachines/Tools/Equipment:Basic office equipmentWorking Conditions:Primarily a controlled office environment, some travel involved to other company locations, and seminars, conferences, etc.As a team member at Lancaster Farming, you’ll enjoy:4 Weeks PTO to Start (Pro-Rated for First Year)Paid HolidaysBenefits: Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Basic Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchWellness ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramParental Leave ProgramFor a full list of all positions available please visit our career page: www.steinmancommunications.com/careersPI278209724 Apply
