Steinman Communications is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to oversee and manage the operations of our IT department. This role requires a strategic leader who can design and implement innovative IT solutions that support our mission-critical business functions. You will work closely with department heads to develop and maintain application portfolios, ensure service level agreements are met, and oversee technology initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.As the IT Director, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence in all IT functions while ensuring that technology investments deliver tangible value to our clients and internal teams. Free parking will be provided in the Steinman Park Garage.Benefits:4 weeks PTO to start (pro-rated for first year)Paid HolidaysBenefits: medical, prescription, dental, vision, short-term disability, basic life insurance401(k) with Company MatchWellness programEmployee Assistance ProgramParental Leave ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramEssential Job Functions:Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologiesManage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resourcesWhere necessary, re-engineer applications support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic visionDefine and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end usersDevelop and review budgets for and from IT department divisions and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectivesReview performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirementsBenchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systemsDevelop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, reviews submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and makes the appropriate awardAuthorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needsDevelop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiativesDirect research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement effortsOversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support servicesDevelop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provisionOversee negotiation and administration of vendor, third-party, and consultant contracts and service agreementsManage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actionsEstablish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activitiesAbility to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly languageExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsHighly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detailAbility to conduct and direct research into IT issues and productsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentIn addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. Master’s degree in either of these fields or Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component preferred5 years' experience managing and/or directing an IT operationProven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy developmentGood understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standardsExperience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day managementKnowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operationsIn-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to ITValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
