Kreider & Son, Inc. is looking for a full-time BACKHOE OPERATOR in our Specialty Services department. Qualified candidates should be able to operate a backhoe in a safe manner for excavations, trench work and installing utilities.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of self and others in all situations
- Operate equipment efficiently and effectively
- Ensure utilities installed never fail test and inspections
- Pay attention to fine details of the job
- Maintain accurate records of materials installed, rock measurements, equipment usage and time usage
- Daily equipment maintenance
Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1 year of experience in excavation work
- Knowledge of blueprints, grade sheets, storm sewer pipe work
- Ability to set up and adjust lasers
- Knowledge of safety requirements on the job such as confined spaces, ditch work and road traffic control
- Skilled at digging and exposing utilities
