Inventory Control Clerk, OR Dept (Full Time -Days) St. Mary Medical Center

Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Functions under the supervision of the Operating Room Resource Agent. Responsible for maintenance of Operating Room Supplies, establishes and maintains appropriate PAR levels, develops stock locations and replenishment strategies to decrease overall supply cost and physical inventory. Works within the SIS OR System to forecast future supply needs.Schedule:Full Time, 40 hours per week, day shift

Oversees all Operating Room Stock Inventory

Develops Inventory PAR Levels for OR Stock Supplies within Materials Management Information System.

Establishes Location for all stock supplies

Follows Protocols and Practices to facilitate supply inventory and procurement

Reconciles, decrements, adjust inventory numbers to match supply levels and physical inventory amount, monthly within Materials Management Information System.

Collaborates with Resource Agent and OR Information System administrator to maintain

Returns unused supplies to proper locations

Compares delivery orders to ensure accuracy

Restocks point of use inventory from Main OR Location

Enters supply orders into the Materials Management Information System

Assists with Contract Supply Changes, establishes location and PAR levels in Materials Management Information System .

Is present during all physical inventory counts.

Performs all duties in a professional and confidential manner, maintaining a good rapport with all hospital personnel, physicians, vendors, patients and visitors.

Keeps work area clean and orderly.

Communicates any outstanding inventory issues to Resource Agent, Department Managers and Director.

Works closely with receiving to facilitate the delivery of OR orders

Establishes, organizes and maintains files, logs and other records. Prepares reports as needed or requested.

Manage the medical center vendor credentialing service within the department of surgery. Direct interaction with all outside vendors.

Has access to and assists in management of certain high risk supplies, including needles and syringes.

Performs other duties as assigned or directed
