Automation Engineer

Job Title: Automation EngineerMy Client, a prominent full-service systems integrator specializing in Process Control Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and IT/Reporting Services, in the life sciences, food & beverage, chemical, and metal manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities

Develop and communicate customer technical requirements.

Design and develop innovative automation solutions for the manufacturing sector.

Work with a talented team and contribute to each phase of the system development lifecycle.

Strong troubleshooting ability.

PLC programming (the person experience preferred).

MES-ANSI/ISA-88 & ANSI/ISA-95

PLC/HMI programming

Systems integration experience

Wonderware software knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.

Experience with Wonderware ArchestrA or FactoryTalk is preferred.

5-10 years of experience in a related field.

Client interfacing experience.

Professional experience within industries such as life science, specialty chemical, and food & beverage.

Work EnvironmentHybrid schedule in the Malvern office. 2-3 days a week in office, 10% travel to client sites (will be made aware ahead of time on travel duration). Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems. Evaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality, reporting and competitive pricing. Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description where parts are requested for maintenance activities. Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment. Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace. Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
