Position Opening: Publication Assistant: (Full-time 40 hours per week)
The role of the Publication Assistant is overseeing all aspects of the publication process for new authors. This includes but is not limited to: guiding the author's book through editorial review, typesetting, cover design, publicity campaigns, and distribution to ensure each step is completed accurately by our production staff and in a timely manner. The position will act as the liaison between our authors and the different production departments which means they will be in contact daily with their authors to answer their questions, explain processes, and to give updates about their books.
Qualifications:
⢠Experience managing caseloads, solving complex problems, and working with the public
⢠Proficient/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
⢠Well-organized and strong attention to detail
⢠Exceptional customer service skills
Education Required:
⢠4-year college degree preferred, but experience may be substituted
⢠Experience in the publishing industry not required. We are willing to train.
