Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cash Application Specialist. The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving any discrepancies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming payments from customers using various payment methods such as checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers.
Reconcile payments received with invoices and ensure accurate application to customer accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments, refunds, and chargebacks.
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to address customer inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of payment transactions, adjustments, and account reconciliations.
Assist in month-end closing activities and provide support for financial reporting as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to cash application processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable,
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
