Deputy Practice Leader / Project Manager - Construction ServJob Summary:

Urban is actively seeking a Depty Practice Leader/Project Manager to work as part of our Construction Services Team on complex highway, bridge, facility, and airport projects throughout the greater Harrisburg region. The candidate will provide leadership support to our CM Team and manage inspection staff on various projects.Job Responsibilities:

Support the Construction Services Practice Leader and Regional Manager with the development and submission of RFPs/SOIs.

Manage inspection staff: Project assignments, assign equipment, conduct site visits and QA reviews, and source and interview candidates.

Mentor CM/CI staff.

Coordinate staffing with clients.

Manage project budgets/review invoicing.

Develop teaming partnerships.

Support leading the CM Team in heavy highway, bridge, facility, airport construction projects, monitoring costs, schedule, claims, etc.

Conduct project meetings and document meetings with minutes.

Perform Constructability reviews.

Oversee project submissions, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.

Coordinate between the owner, contractors, designers, etc. involved in the construction process.

Perform CPM schedule reviews.

Monitor construction activities for conformance with contract documents.

Community outreach - coordinate construction with affected parties, including local municipalities, general public, local businesses, etc.Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or a related field is required.

Professional Engineer License is required.

Minimum 12+ years of experience in the design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects.

Central PA PennDOT experience is required. Central PA Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
