Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to support our purchasing and distribution departments while gaining valuable experience in the manufacturing industry.Responsibilities:
Assist in the procurement process by researching suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating terms.
Collaborate with the purchasing team to maintain accurate inventory levels and optimize cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
Support the distribution department in managing inventory and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
Requirements
Recent graduate or current enrollment in a business management or accounting degree program.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Familiarity with manufacturing industries is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
