Elwyn is currently seeking a VP of Operational Development (OD) to operate within the Chief Operating Officer's (COO) office and spearhead the evaluation of operations across multiple divisions. The primary focus is to identify areas for enhancing operational efficiency. As the operations leader, the VP is tasked with developing and implementing changes and new procedures. This involves conducting thorough reviews and analyses of our existing policies, resources, operations, processes, and procedures. The VP of OD collaborates closely with the COO, providing counsel and leadership on a wide range of critical topics. The role also encompasses managing various projects, ensuring successful execution of each initiative. Additionally, this position oversees administrative functions, supports the development of internal department-wide procedures, handles priority projects, and serve as a liaison for key internal and external stakeholders, including offices of elected officials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify operational requirements and improvement opportunities across all Profit and Loss (P&L) divisions under the guidance of the COO

Document findings, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide actionable recommendations

Lead cross-functional teams in planning, preparing, implementing, and measuring operational changes

Develop innovative processes and procedures to enhance overall operations

Collaborate with vice presidents and executive directors to successfully implement workflow improvements

Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Lead change management efforts related to operational improvements in collaboration with the COO and other Executive Leadership

Engage with and facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders, including department heads and external partners, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of strategy

Work closely with the COO and Program leaders to align Elwyn's operations with overall programmatic goals

Oversee special projects in coordination with the COO, providing critical thought partnership and problem-solving

Develop overarching policy priorities for Elwyn's Operating Divisions in collaboration with the Executive Leadership team

Monitor legislative, executive, and political developments impacting the human services industry

Identify strategic opportunities to support Elwyn's initiatives and efforts

Lead various projects and working groups, ensuring objectives and milestones are met

Assign, communicate, and clarify task context, priorities, and project directives

Respond to urgent issues while maintaining discretion and strategic decision-making

Continuously monitor and evaluate operational performance and implemented changes using data-driven approaches

Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with staff and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

B.A. or B.S. degree required, in Public Health, Education, usiness, or other related field

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Education, I/DD, Behavioral Health and/ or the nonprofit sector

Five (5) or more years of managerial experience required. A professional background including experience managing strategic operations, operational, policy or systems change experience

Experience managing large, complex projects with evidence of superb organizational skills and attention to detail and proven positive outcomes

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative orientation toward internal and external constituencies

Understanding of state and local politics preferred

Proven success working under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment

Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office suite specifically, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

Ability to multi-task several priorities and multiple-demanding projects

Ability to identify and resolve complicated and sensitive problems creatively and with professional discretion

Ability to interact and function effectively in a complex, multi state, multi licensed environment

Broad knowledge of healthcare and/or non-profit law preferred

Must have valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL PROFILE: The work environment is conducted within a defined, typically indoor office setting, where standard office equipmentincluding computers, printers, and cellular devicesis utilized. The role involves extended periods of sitting. Regular communication through talking, listening, and written correspondence is essential.
